Spotting a listing on the Billboard
The Billboard is a distinct leaderboard at /leaderboards/billboard. It orders listings by total money contributed by their owners, and it is clearly marked as a paid ranking. This keeps it visibly separate from community votes, which are never for sale.
How rankings work
You set the amount in US dollars—the floor is $5. Each contribution you make adds to your listing's running total. The board sorts by these totals, highest first. Once you have contributed, your listing stays on the board.
Adding your listing
Adding it from your account needs a live listing. Log in, head to /account/listings, find your listing and tap "Upgrades and extras". Enter your chosen amount under Billboard. You can also contribute during the plan step when you first post a listing.
Why it stands alone
The Billboard is independent. It does not affect Launch of the Week, community votes, verification badges or Domain Rating. Each ranking system is labelled for what it is. Promo codes will not lower a Billboard contribution.
A followed link, for life
A billboard contribution puts a link to your website on /leaderboards/billboard, using your company name. It is followed, with no nofollow on it, and it stays for life, even after others overtake you. It is taken away only if the listing is taken down for breaking our rules or the contribution is refunded.
Questions people ask
- Is the Billboard the same as the community vote rankings?
- No. The Billboard is funded; votes are earned. Community votes, Launch of the Week, verification and Domain Rating are separate systems. The Billboard is marked as paid so there is no confusion.
- What is the minimum I can contribute?
- $5 USD. Each new contribution you make stacks on top of what your listing has already accrued.
- When can I add a Billboard contribution?
- Adding it from your account needs a live listing. You can contribute via /account/listings (select your listing, then "Upgrades and extras") or during the initial submission process.
- Does my billboard entry link to my website?
- Yes. The board links your company name to your website with a followed link, for life, unless the listing breaks our rules and is taken down or the contribution is refunded.
