Where does VAT show up on my bill?

How Discovera Launch calculates VAT, where to log your VAT number, and how to retrieve your receipts.

Updated

VAT at checkout

The prices we display are before tax. VAT is only applied where it's actually due—we work this out based on where you are.

If you're paying from the UK, we add 20 percent VAT. EU businesses with a valid VAT number on file get reverse charge treatment instead, so no tax is levied. EU consumers see their local VAT rate applied. Customers outside these regions pay no UK VAT.

Before you complete payment, the checkout page shows the exact VAT amount (if any) so you can see the full cost.

Logging your VAT number

You can enter your VAT number during checkout, or add it later in /account/billing. We verify EU numbers against the VIES register in real time. If the service can't confirm your number at that moment, VAT will be charged—you'll be notified straightaway. Once verified, future invoices will reflect the correct treatment.

Finding your invoices

Zinn Digital® Ltd issues all receipts after payment goes through. They're sent to your email and also kept in /account/invoices, where you can download them as PDFs. Credit notes appear there too, giving you a complete record of your transactions with Discovera Launch.
